Mike Onorato is the Managing Broker-Owner of Onorato Real Estate in Coal City. Mike received his B.A from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After college, in 1982, Mike joined the family firm of Onorato Real Estate and Onorato Insurance Services. For the last 20 years Mike has been a resident of the Village of Diamond. For 40 years Mike has been committed and excited to serving his buyer and seller clients with the highest level of professional and ethical real estate assistance. Over the years he has represented Sellers and Buyers of all kinds of real estate, from homes, lots, and vacant land, to small farms and downtown commercial properties. Throughout his career, Mike has been actively involved in the local, state, and national Realtor family. He proudly served as local President of the Grundy County Association of Realtors twice; and also the Three Rivers Association of Realtors in 2001. Mike was honored with the Three Rivers Association Realtor of the Year Award in 2007. At the state level, aside from serving on and Chairing numerous Committees over more than 30 years, Mike was President of the Illinois Realtors in 2010. At the National level Mike was twice appointed to the National RPAC Trustees. In addition to his real estate business, Mike is a twice-elected member of the Grundy County Board since 2014. Currently Mike is Chair of the Taxation/Technology/Elections Committee. He is also Chairman of the Grundy County Board of Review, having served since his appointment in 1998. Mike and his husband Matt share their home with Matt’s son Cody and their adorable dog Molly.
